Header Wrap

I was wondering if anyone has wrapped their header ? If so what kind of tape did you use and was it worth it ? Did it keep it any cooler ? When i first put my header on i painted it red and not it is starting to white out and i was wondering if the wrap would be a better route to go than painting it again. Can anyone reccomend and good kinds of paint to use on a header ?

Hey i painted my header red too even with 1200 degree paint! And it baked off and smelled like tacos for a week! The only part thats red is the flange that connects to the head. The exhaust wrap KEEPS the hot air inside and keep the cool air outside hence lowering your engine bay temperature but ive heard it kills your header and o2 sensor faster cause of the excess heat.
